Dr. Bueno

Dr. Bueno is a native of Brazil and he received his Veterinary Degree (MV) in 1992 from Unoeste University.  He had two year’s experience in equine private practice before completing one year internship in Equine Medicine & Surgery at Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1995.

Following his internship, Dr. Bueno completed a Master’s of Science (MS) degree at LSU in 1998. Additionally, he completed one year Large Animal Fellowship at Oregon State University (OSU) in 1999, and immediately after his fellowship Dr. Bueno completed a three year Equine Surgery Residency Program at University of California (UC-Davis) in 2002. Dr. Bueno returned to LSU in 2002 as Clinical Instructor in Equine Surgery.

He successfully completed his specialty board certification through the American College of Veterinary Surgeons (ACVS) in 2003.

Following that Dr. Bueno held a Lecturer position in Large Animal Surgery at the University of Florida in Gainesville (2005-2007). Additionally, he worked as a staff surgeon at The Morrie Waud Equine Center (MWEC), an equine surgical facility associated with the University of Wisconsin (UW) from 2007-2010. Dr. Bueno was a Staff Surgeon at South Shore Equine & Diagnostic Center, a specialty private practice, located in Massachusetts (2011-2013). He also was a Clinical Instructor in Equine Surgery at Washington State University (WSU), College of Veterinary Medicine in Pullman, WA (2013-2015).
